As part of the SET 3 Framework Agreement, under which Impresa Manca operates in a joint venture (RTI) with Siemens S.p.A., Siemens Energy, CESIT, and Impresa Pizzulo, Terna Rete Italia awarded the contract for the construction of the Via Vaiano Valle Switching Station. The project involves the redevelopment of a former Enel electrical substation acquired by Terna Rete Italia. The assigned works are being carried out in two distinct phases.
The first phase involved building a new section of the switching station adjacent to the existing facility, including the new line gantries. Once the civil and electromechanical works were complete, the transmission lines were transferred from the old infrastructure to the new one, enabling the demolition and subsequent reconstruction of the existing station, which will then be integrated into the new facility.
The first phase was completed in June 2026. After a scheduled technical suspension, the second phase will resume in January 2027 and finish within four months.
Civil works contract value: approximately €4,000,000.00
