In 2023, Terna Rete Italia launched the Adriatic Link tender for the construction of an electrical interconnection between the Marche and Abruzzo regions through a submarine connection and two converter and switching stations. The two converter stations will be built in Fano and Cepagatti respectively.
Following the award of the Tyrrhenian Link project, Impresa Manca was again invited to join a temporary joint venture with Siemens Energy, FATA, part of the Danieli Group, and Impresa Pizzulo for the construction of the two converter stations included in the Adriatic Link project.
In 2024, the joint venture was awarded the project under an EPC contract. Under the internal allocation of works, Impresa Manca was assigned the civil works for the Fano station, in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino, while the works for the Cepagatti station were assigned to Impresa Pizzulo.
The Fano station will be built next to the existing Terna electrical substation, on a site covering approximately 65,000 m².
Impresa Manca’s scope of work includes:
- establishment of the construction-site facilities according to an arrangement similar to that adopted at the Selargius site;
- stabilisation of the station formation platform using a lime-and-cement mixture processed with suitable milling equipment;
- construction of the station’s civil works, similar in type to those planned for the Selargius site.
Estimated Value of the Works: €33,500,000.00.
